Purpose

This infobox provides meta data for country dances, especially English country dances.

Parameters

• |name= Name of the dance.
• |genre= Style of the dance (English contra dance, Scottisch contra dance, American Squares, etc.).
• |formation= (set or circle, number of couples, proper or improper).
• |difficulty= (easy, medium, challenging, etc.).
• |signature= Time signature of the tune (2/2, 6/8, etc.).
• |tempo= Pace of the dance (slow, fast, etc.)
• |character= Mood/style of the dance (regal, grave, etc.)
• |key= Key of the tune, (with reference to corresponding article, e.g. [[A minor]]); should be taken from Wikidata (P826).
• |era= Era of the dance (Playford, modern, etc.).
• |choreographer= Creator of the dance (or as in 'Playford' the person who has recorded it); should be taken from Wikidata (P1809).
• |year= Year of publication; should be taken from Wikidata (P577).
• |published_in= Source of the instructions.
• |music_title= Title of the associated tune.
• |composer= Composer of the associated tune.
• |music_collector= Collector of a traditional tune.
• |music_year= Year of composition (or publication) of the tune.
• |music_published_in= Source of the tune.
