Parameters
All parameters are optional.
| Parameter | Notes |

| name | The character class name to display in top header; use the most recent name for the class. |
| old_name1 | Previous names for the character class; include the edition(s) the old name was used in. |
| image | Image of the class. "File:" and wikilinking is not required; i.e. use |image=Example.png.

| caption | A caption explaining the image. |
| alt | Alt text for image per WP:MOSALT. |
| first | First appearance of the character class. Include publication year and wikilink if possible. |
| editions | If a character class has appeared in all editions, but was an alternate class in some of them, use both the |editions= and |alternateeditions= parameters.

| standardeditions | If a class has only appeared as a standard class, only use the |standardeditions= parameter. If a class has appeared as both a standard and alternate class but has not appeared in all editions, use the |standardeditions= and |alternateeditions= parameters.
